“Fifty Shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson attends the LACMA 2015 Art+Film Gala Honoring James Turrell and Alejandro González Iñárritu, Presented by Gucci at LACMA in Los Angeles, California.

Obviously, when Gucci throws a party and invites all their Gucci celeb pals, you’re gonna find yourself drowning in a sea of Gucci, which is why so many elements of this dress feel familiar if you’ve seen some of the other attendees. Perhaps we’ve all had our fill of bright yellows and fabric flowers and ruffles. Perhaps you can’t stand the sight of them. But we have to admit, we think she looks quietly stunning in this dress. We’ve said this before but sometimes being plainly pretty can really be a benefit if you’re into wearing high fashion. She’s got the perfect look to set this off in a sort of “Couture Schoolmarm” kind of way. We’re prepared to be the cheeses that stand alone on the question of this cheese-colored dress, but we love this look on her.

We just wish we knew what the hell was going on with her hair.
