No alternate personalities for this post, darlings. This is pure Chloe and she deserves the spotlight. Besides, we LOVE this way too much to make fun of it. Sure, it’s vaguely childish and naive in tone, plus if you say the phrase “yellow lace gown” out loud, it’s kind of hard not to get a little nauseous at the thought of it, but damn, if this doesn’t work for us. The appliques are hilariously random – A pineapple! A tiger! – but that’s part of the appeal here. If it had just been a lace dress with flower appliques, it would have gone largely unnoticed. But Miss Chloe is nothing if not a person who knows how to dress to get noticed. The whole point to a design like this is that it forces you to take it all in. It’s fun, it’s bold, and it’s one of the more interesting designs we’ve seen on a red carpet in ages. Feel free to hate it, darlings, but we can’t bring ourselves to do it. We love everything about this.
