Cate Blanchett makes an appearance on “Good Morning America” in Times Square, New York City to promote her new film, “Carol.”
And now, a moment of springtime in the middle of November.
It does feel a bit off for this time of year (which makes sense because it’s from a spring collection), but we have to admit, it’s a smart way to stand out during this holiday movie season, when so many ladystars seem to have embraced their inner Christmas elf and dolled themselves up in a succession of tree-lighting ensembles full of sparkles and lots of red and green. And there’s just no denying that, regardless of the seasonal-appropriateness, it just suits the hell out of her. The lace work and mesh could come off a little overdone on another wearer, but Miss Cate has the cool poise and bearing to make even overdesigned elements look demure and chic.
In other words: Attagirl. You got this one.
