Style Double Shot: Monica Bellucci at the “Spectre” Madrid Photo Call and Premiere

We’ve been enjoying her red carpetry for this poledance, but we have to admit, there are just as many misses as hits on her scorecard. She gets lots of points for bring a mature earthiness that you don’t normally see for a James Bond film poledance, but she doesn’t always make the best choices for herself. Fortunately, that’s not a problem here. Frankly, we don’t know why she’s not in constant D&G for this tour, considering the brand not only really suits her (Who better to work their sexy Sicilian widow aesthetic than her?) but that she actually modeled for them in recent years. We might have liked to have seen the hem raised, but this looks great on her. If we could only get her to do something about her hair.

And now, to illustrate our earlier point about not making the best choices:

Bella, no. This just looks like a cheap drag queen version of Valentino. The silhouette’s not good for you, the bodice makes you look much more busty than you actually are, and the sleeves look like you’re being attacked by party supplies. We’re all for bringing something interesting to the red carpet, but you coulda left this one on the rack.
