Style Double Shot: Lady Gaga in NYC

“American Horror Story: Hotel” star Lady Gaga is seen arriving at JFK International airport and later at her apartment in New York City.

She’ll never be a girl who does things in half-measures and for that, she’ll always get our attention (if not always our love). Miss Lady’s got an exciting new TV venture bowing tonight and she’s got herself some poledancing to do, so out come the costumes and the grandiose entrances and exits. In other words, it’s once again Time to Look at Gaga.

And hey, if girlfriend wants to dress like a heavy metal groupie in 1982, who are we to judge?

Oh, right. We’re the judgey ones. Even so, it’s costume, as we said, and it’s fairly well done, in the sense that if she was someone we saw at a costume party, we’d say, “What a fun and well-done, costume! Well done, non-famous party-goer!”

Bottom line: it’s a fully realized look with some wit and humor to it. No, it’s not stylish, but it wasn’t meant to be. And besides, she made sure to remind everyone that she can still do stylish:

We just love when she gets her “Italian Socialite/Greek Shipping Magnate’s Wife” drag on. It’s all very “moneyed Mediterranean” in that vaguely Donatella sort of way and she does it extremely well.
