Cate Blanchett attends the “Truth” Fellowship Special Presentation Gala during the BFI London Film Festival at Odeon Leicester Square in London, England in Schiaparelli couture.
Miss Cate has been on quite the poledance tour lately as she’s got two prestige dramas out at the same time. Result? More for us to talk about! Bless her. It always makes our jobs a bit easier when she’s on a red carpet tour of the world. Let’s check in on her latest, shall we?
That’s one of those perfectly weird little frocks that only the most advanced of all dress-wearers could pull off. And even Lupita or Tilda would find it difficult to look as effortlessly good as Cate does in it. Schiapparelli tends to do right by her and she tends to return the favor. The hair and makeup look stunning, but those shoes are a bit of a needle scratch. D’orsay pumps can be difficult to pair with a skirt. They look fabulous with pants, but with any skirt that hits somewhere above the ankles, they sometimes have a tendency to visually widen a woman’s feet, giving the illusion of duck feet in pictures. We’re just not feeling this pair.

Perfectly Cate. It seems a little bunchy and lumpy throughout the bodice, but overall it’s a cooly glamorous look, which is the exact center point of her wheel house. We would be surprised if this dress looked anything less than amazing on her.
