Man, we’re starting to get tapped out on the whole “five-year-old girl’s bedroom decor” trend in red carpetry lately, especially coming from this one and her co-star, who both seem to have embraced lacey sheers and ruffles to an almost absurd extent. Ladies, tone this stuff down. We admit it’s interesting when you both give off a wedding vibe, but now we’re just thinking that was a coincidence and instead you’ve been paid off by the International Ruffle Makers Union, which we’re absolutely sure is totally a thing.
Having said that, we have to admit we like the somewhat interesting way the ruffles were used here; especially in the placement of them, which is unexpected and even has a slight bondage feel to it. It’s not as interesting as Cate’s last few entries but it’s more interesting than it appears at first glance.
