“Crimson Peak” star Jessica Chastain visits “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

All the smart ladies have been picking very good sitting-down looks for their talk show appearances. And by that we mean, looks that photograph better from a sitting position and are more comfortable for them and provide more coverage, which allows them to relax a little. For the longest time it was all super-short skirts and plunging necklines on the couches and comfy chairs of America’s talk show industry, with the accompanying hand clutched to the thigh position with optional smiling-through-gritted-teeth facial expression that is the universal sign for “I’m fucking uncomfortable right now.” We don’t know what sort of revolt went on behind the scenes, but a lot of celebuladies seem to have said “Enough of that shit” and smartly decided the walk from behind the curtain to the couch isn’t long enough to worry about. It’s how you look once you sit down and start talking that matters.

This is a very long way of saying that this jumpsuit does nothing for her or for us but she looks absolutely lovely and more importantly, comfortable, talking her way through her interview.

The hair could use a serious zhuzh, howevs.
