Sandra Bullock attends the premiere of “Our Brand is Crisis” at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California.
We think we like this.
Sorry to sound so uncharacteristically UNopinionated, darlings, but we’re trying to figure this one out. See, we’ve told Sandy (because we’re tight) many times that she needed to update her style and get away from the simple, stark body-con dresses in black that she’s tended to favor for her public appearances. And while she still seems averse to any form of color touching her body, this dress does get her away from the same old silhouette and style. We like this for being floaty and graphic, two qualities we never see in her red carpet choices. But we can’t help thinking it also looks slightly overdesigned. There’s a lot of wrapping and criss-crossing going on, with multiple skin windows and even grommets added for trim. We can’t decide if these take the dress away from being a cliche or if they’re just too much. Also: her hair bugs. But we can’t deny she looks pretty and that this is kind of what we’ve been asking of her on the style front. It’s up to you to decide if she’s right to listen to us:
