IN or OUT: Alicia Vikander in Barbara Casasola at the “Steve Jobs” NYFF Premiere

No, really. We’re asking.

There are things here we sort of like; the colors, for instance. You see a lot of red-and-gold combos on the average red carpet, especially among the awards-seeking set (of which she’s a newly admitted member); partially because the leadup to awards season coincides with autumn and the holidays, which means red and gold are naturally more likely to be on the menu, even for the famously off-season celebrity set. But both shades here are slightly off to our eyes, giving it a vaguely unique feel. But we have to admit, the shoes are pretty hiddy. As semi-sheer dresses go, we’ve seen worse, although we do find it a bit distracting. We think we’re probably responding well to the shapes, which are just a bit different from your normal red carpet wear. We can’t get a read on our reaction. It’s your turn to tell us:
