Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette attend screening of “Miss You Already” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
We totally forgot about this movie. They seemed to do like two days of poledancing for it and then disappeared, which is kind of disappointing in retrospect. They make a good red carpet couple. We don’t know if it’s all an act in the Witherspoon/Vergara mode, but they really do look like they’d be a hoot together. And they do a really good job of dressing distinctly enough from each other as to make a point of it.
Let’s break it down:
It’s fun to see Drew re-embrace her va-va-voom after years of working her hippy Earth Mother realness thing, but this kind of misses the mark. That neckline is pretty damn unflattering, which is a shame because the rest of the dress is pretty. Also, the hair and makeup strike us as a little off for the dress, as do the shoes. There’s just too much hair/lip/boobs/flowers/suede shoes going on. It’s not what we’d call a cohesive look.
Toni, on the other hand, is so cohesive it almost comes off robotic. Not that we’re complaining. She can work a more severe look and that works well in contrast to Drew’s sexy hippy. The silver pumps may have been a bit much. We’d have recommended a suede purple or green pump just to offset all the sparkle.
Aw. We want to have drinks with them both.
