Beyoncé is photographed at the TIDAL X: 10/20 concert at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City. The all-star concert was launched to celebrate the one millionth TIDAL subscriber and the total ticket proceeds will go to the New World Foundation, with the money earmarked for “organizations dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the development and sustainability of just societies,” according to Tidal’s website.
Is it wrong that we burst out laughing?
This is probably why we don’t get invited to more red carpet events. Our inability to keep it off our faces when we see a ridiculous getup. Well, that and the fact that we’re not famous or well-connected enough, but still. We like to think it’s because the celebrity world fears our bitchery.
At any rate, despite how ludicrous this look is, it’s not the stagewear she wore for the concert. No, this is Bey’s red carpet moment and she chose to dress like a hooker in a particularly racy version of “Guys and Dolls.” It’s just so… what’s the word here? It’s one big cliche, is what it is. From the chandelier earrings to the boobage to the fur wrap to the high-slit, it all comes off so damn thirsty. And we don’t understand why her off-stage style is like this. She’s Diva Number One; powerful, talented, beloved and at the top of her game. Why does her style make her look like she’s trying to catch up to Rita Ora? Girl, you’re top of the heap. You need to start dressing like you believe that.
Seriously, we keep scrolling up to look at that stunning face and killer body and wondering why the hell she finds it so hard to set them both off in a way that doesn’t feel desperate for attention.
