Style Double Shot: Kerry Washington in Balenciaga and Dorothee Schumacher

“Scandal” star Kerry Washington attends the 2015 Global Citizen Festival to end extreme poverty by 2030 in Central Park in New York City.

It kind of looks like hopscotch, but we can’t deny it’s a visually arresting look that turns heads and looks great on her. We’re not in love with the accessories, but they don’t do anything to take away from the look, so we can deal. That lip color looks kind of harsh to us, though. But we are more than prepared to be told we’re wrong on this one, since we’re clearly not two queens who are up on the latest makeup trends. Defend the lip, kittens.

Honestly? We feel like we could nitpick a few things here, but there are times when you should just shut up and let a lady be. She’s loving herself right now and we don’t have it in us to poop on that. Our hearts are full of love, darlings. And she’s wearing a super-cute skirt.

Okay, fine. It’s too hot right now, but we’d have loved to have seen her in a pair of boots. The shoes are okay. We love the color especially, but the shape doesn’t feel quite right. We’re sorry! We can’t help ourselves!
