We are fully prepared to be the two cheeses who stand alone, but despite the fussy shape and the too-close-to-her-skin-tone color, this is inexplicably working for us. There’s so much here we could nitpick, like the Payless shoes or the matching Wonder Woman cuffs or that sheer patch behind her knee that makes it look like the skirt is sliding off her, but sometimes, a look just comes together on a particular wearer in ways that can’t be explained. She looks like what she is: a movie star at a film premiere. This isn’t even close to a WERQ – or even an Attagirl, for that matter – but sometimes you have to accept that idea that the red carpet is less about being chic and more about making an impact. This works for us on that front.
