The spring 2016 collection was inspired by the intersection of daydreams and day trips. Spring is the season when a shortcut through the flower district on 28th street or a pause in front of a local bodega – bees buzzing and bursts of roses and daises as far as one can see – makes you feel like you’ve left the city completely and taken the train to the end of the line.
And so for the collection, Kate Spade New York mixed and matched florals, ribbon stripes and light-as-clouds lace. The colors are inspired by a fun fair – carousel pink, alice blue, sunshine yellow, boardwalk beige – pop against classic New York City black and white.
