We may have lost it a little when we spotted Bette in the crowd last night. But such is the glittering candy land known as The Blonds show; it’s loaded to the rafters with drag queens, divas and downtown (if there even is such a thing anymore) attention-seekers of all stripes. Miss Bette spent the 40 minutes pre-show (which is all about air-kissing, showing off their costumes and posing for pictures with this crowd – seriously, it’s like Comic-Con except none of the cosplayers are dressed like recognizable characters) quietly sitting in her seat and taking it all in with a bemused look on your face. We just wanted to run up to her and say “Bette! They’re all picking up the shit you threw down decades ago! You’re an inspiration, darling! THESE ARE YOUR GRANDCHILDREN!” But alas, we were happy to merely admire her turban game from afar.

Kat looks cute. She managed to come dressed for a Blonds show while still looking a little NYFW-ready.

Can we say how much we adore that Bette is carrying her Nana glasses around? Because that’s adorable.

Anyway, this is a longish way of saying we were out late last night, ringing out another Fashion Week, and we’ll be traveling home to our feline editorial assistants this morning, which means service, as they say, may be spotty in some areas.

No, really. We’re slow and cranky, but we’ll get it done for you. Give these two fabulous old men some time to work out the kinks.
