To be honest, we didn’t immediately fall in love with this color when we saw it on our TV screen. And to be even more bluntly honest, while we understand both why she’d stick with a style that works for her and why she often chooses gowns that look like the skirts and blouses worn under saris, we sometimes get a little tired of seeing her wearing this exact gown over and over.

Look, we’re professional bitches. We’ll all be much happier the sooner we all accept that.

Anyway, before you get the torches and pitchforks, we’re here to tell you that we fell in love with this look when we had a chance to see examine it in pictures. The color, in fact, looks wonderful on her. We love the touches of yellow in the jewelry and the sparkle in the dress. The whole look feels very unified, which makes a certain amount of sense because Salvador Perez is her costume designer and her go-to dress designer. What we’re seeing here may not be cutting edge fashion, but it’s the result of a collaboration between a designer and a client who know each other well.

But we hate the purse. Come on, give us that one. She’s a grown woman at a formal event. Let’s leave the sparkly name purses at home, shall we?
