“We Are Your Friends” star Emily Ratajkowski attends the “TargetStyle, in Vogue” event at the Cedar Lake event space in New York City.
Girl, we’ve been big supporters of your A-game red carpetry, but there are times when you probably should dial it back a little. This is just a bit much for any event that features the Target logo and branding materials. We’re just saying. Nothing wrong with some high fashion at this party – especially because it’s also got the Vogue imprimatur – but a Balmain lace jumpsuit with a plunging neckline is perhaps a bit too attention-seeking at an event that isn’t about you.
On the other hand, the whole point of her invite was to ensure she’d get her picture taken and bitchy sites like ours would run with it in order to remind you all that Target and Vogue have collaborated on something. It’s all part of the circle of life, darlings. Or corporate branding. Same thing, really.
We do think this would work for her in a more “This event is all about Emily Ratajkowski” sort of way; like if it was a party celebrating her Vogue cover or a premiere of her next movie. But we don’t like the belt she’s sporting, nor do we like the big zipper on the neckline. We’d close that up a little if we were in charge.
