Well, this all seems to be in order.

Perfectly tasteful and ladylike in every way. Also: a little boring. We’d be singing its praises on someone like Michelle Obama, but we tend to expect a little more oomph from our movie star red carpetry. It really is a lovely dress, so maybe we’d have been happy with just a little more zest in the styling. Some funkier shoes, a showier purse, maybe some jewelry that you can see from more than four feet away – any of those would have zhuzhed this look up; probably enough to make us love it.

Of course, if she wasn’t sporting doll makeup and … whatever the hell is going on at the back of her head, we might not be so critical.
