This just looks painful all around; literally from top to bottom. The tight hair, even tighter dress and only slightly torturous shoes paired with that totally insincere grimace-grin paints a picture of … well, pain. We just want to usher her into the nearest pair of sweats, sit her down on the nearest couch and hand her the nearest pint of Ben & Jerry’s.

Style-wise, it’s an okay dress. It veers awfully close to looking like a skating costume (albeit an extremely tight one) to our eyes, but if we look at it as a form of stagewear (which is being generous, since she didn’t perform last night), then we can accept it, for the most part. But she has to go up a size for it to work. Her boobs are screaming in agony. And while we don’t hate showing a lot of skin at an event like the VMAs, the way the dress is designed to literally frame her belly button is … not very classy.

Oh, and the ombre hair is way too tryhard. We’d like to say she’s better than this, but the fact is, we only wish she was.
