We rag on her style choices a lot – and will continue to do so in this post – but our first reason for featuring these shots was simply because she looked cute in them, even if she’s overposing to an eyelid-twitching degree.
Our problem with her style is very basic: we don’t agree with her when it comes to what shades and hues look best on her. She, in our opinion, bleaches her hair several shades too light and thus perhaps not coincidentally, also shows a predilection for pale, washed-out looks in the Dakota Fanning mode. Always with the washed-out blondes and their fear of color.
However, we have to admit that, while we wish the dress – and especially the shoes – had some color action going on – we can’t deny it’s a really cute little frock on her. On many other gals, we’d probably find the neckline and sleeve detailing to be insufferably twee, but she can pull it off. In fact, we’d say she’s one of those ladies for whom “twee” should probably be her go-to. She’s got a fun, sardonic persona that would work really well in relation to that particular style direction. Just please, Anna, if you take our advice, go for a colorful twee.
