Naomie Harris in Mugler at the NSPCC Neo-Romantic Art Gala

This is the second day in a row Miss Lady served up something unique and eye-catching for the red carpet. Why do so many ladystars find this hard when this one seems to do it every time she turns around?

To be perfectly a hundred percent “real,” about it, as the kids say (in 1997), we don’t like it at all once you get up close. That ropey, pearl net thing is just straight-up weird. And we suspect it’s probably much more distracting in person. But red carpet looks can get away with some dicey details if the overall impression is good. This looks chic and high impact at first glance. That’s good enough for us. Just don’t get too close or you’ll see how “craft store” it gets.

And let’s be fair: it helps a lot that she’s gorgeous. Also: those shoes are KILLA.
