Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky at the “Vacation” Los Angeles Premiere

We’d normally be harumphing all over the place because we tend not to love a tie-less suit look with multiple undone shirt buttons. If you’re wearing a suit – regardless of whether or not you’re wearing a tie – then you’ve committed to something just formal enough to require a little propriety. In other words, the T Lo Rule for the tie-less suit look is that you get to leave one shirt button undone. After that, the sleaze factor rises with each new undone button.

Having said that, he’s one of those guys for whom the look mostly works.

We’d prefer he buttoned up more, but we don’t think he necessarily looks like a sleazeball either. Tasteful Public Displays of Affection with one’s wife does tend to mitigate such things.

We’re not at all in love with her dress; not the color (which doesn’t look great on blondes), not the sash (which seems to camouflage her actual waist) and DEFINITELY not the Wilma Flintstone hem.
