Oh, nicely done, girl. After quite a few fits and starts, it seems like you’ve finally figured out the NYC Sidewalk Sashay.

And you did it by following the Taylor Swift model: 1) Hit the steaming hot, garbage-piled streets of New York City in a 2000-dollar dress like it was the most natural thing in the world to do. 2) Add one purse that pretty much doesn’t go at all with said 2000-dollar dress. 3) Sashay.

It’s a cute look, but like Tay, she picked a very expensive dress and then threw together accessories that do nothing to set it off. Not just the off-white granny purse, but the oversized and slightly masculine shades don’t go with such an Audrey Hepburn of a dress. Now was the time either for the oversized Jackie O-style frame or a subtle retro cat-eye frame. And while black flats more than go with a look like this, a pair of sandals would’ve taken it somewhere summertime chic.
