We’ve long established our reputations as cold, cynical bitches when it comes to celebrities and their image-making, but we have to admit we smiled a bit when she popped up on the wires this morning, as if we’d run into an old friend we hadn’t seen in a while.

An old friend who really needs a style consult.
Many will disagree, because of course she looks pretty fantastic here, but she’s on like Year Ten of this look; the color-free, metallic dress with the pin-straight, center parted mid-back length hair and the smokey eye. It’s not feeling remotely fresh. We get that once you find a look that serves you well you should stick to it, but every decade or so, a major freshening is in order.
Also: that skirt is stupid.
But so good to see you, Sandy! We should do this more often.
