Amanda Seyfried in Mugler at the “Ted 2” NYC Premiere

Posted on June 25, 2015

We were going to unleash the full fury of our bitchtastic talents on this set of pics. We were all set to say something like “Behold: a movie star failing to make the effort.” And then we would have gone on a rant about boring black dresses and unimaginative stylists and probably worked in a reference to, we don’t know… climate change or something, because we’re in just that kind of mood.

Except, the longer we look at this, the more we’re leaning toward a begrudging “Attagirl.”

We don’t know … it’s all got some sass to it, no? With the grommets and the braids and the fuck-me shoes? We really can’t say there was no thought or effort put into this look. Mind you, we don’t actually like the hairstyle, nor are we what we’d call excited by that dress, but we can’t just sneer and lecture like we normally do when we’re cranky. Certainly, she followed the one rule we have if you’re going to wear an LBD, which is to make sure the styling adds something to that blank slate. The shoes really are killer and while the hair’s kind of a WTF, we admit we can’t stop looking at it. We may not like all the choices made here, but there’s a real sense of style on display, so we can’t hate.
