2015 Critics’ Choice Television Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on June 01, 2015

We’re just rounding all these people up in one post. Not out of punishment or anything, but because this was kind of a dull red carpet. No one looked terrible and most people looked good-to-really good, but nothing really set us on fire. Risk-taking is dead. Christmas is canceled.

Alas.

Hit it, tastefully boring ones.

A lovely color and dress. Very nice.

ZZZZzzzzzz

Anna Faris

This one’s kind of interesting, but the mismatched pinks are giving us eyelid twitches.

Ben McKenzie in Spencer Hart

Please drop your resume in the slot and have a seat.

Carrie Brownstein

Cute dress but the shoes don’t seem right.

Cat Deeley in Azzaro

It looks a little veiny, but credit due for choosing an interesting and little-seen on the red carpet color combo.

Felicity Huffman

Not terrible, but the neckline’s too broad and the shoes are dull.

Gaby Hoffmann

OH THANK GOD

SOMEONE WORE CRAZY SHIT

Gillian Jacobs in J. Mendel

Office Holiday party.

Jaime Pressly

Totally drag.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Jaimie Alexander in Halston Heritage

We like the dress – but why are we seeing so many boring black pumps?

Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Carolina Herrera

Awful.

We love her, but she’s in serious need of a style rethink.

Maggie Gyllenhaal

Not entirely in love with the color scheme, but it’s a great look for her.

Queen Latifah

Gets the job done.

By the way, you should watch her Bessie Smith biopic on HBO. It was pretty awesome.

Sarah Paulson in Prabal Gurung

We just dislocated our jaws from yawning so hard.

Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang

Well.

At least it’s not a totally boring black dress. Just a partially boring one.

Celebrities, you better do better tomorrow. That’s all we’re saying. You’ve let us down today.
