Imagine if you were Sarah Jessica Parker’s kids.
Sarah Jessica Parker attends the “China: Through The Looking Glass” Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a custom H&M one-shoulder gown paired with a Philip Treacy hat, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoes, and jewelry by Cindy Chao, Jennifer Fisher, and Fred Leighton.
They’ll be telling the story of this night at her funeral. Because come on, if your mom walked into the kitchen wearing this and said, “Don’t wait up, my darlings. Mommy has to go be fabulous tonight,” YOU WOULD THINK SHE WAS THE MOST AWESOMEST MOM EVER.
We don’t care what anyone else says, in the parlance of our people, BITCH BROUGHT IT. And we can’t say one bad thing about it. It’s theatrical, it’s costumey, it pays attention to what the theme of the gala is, and most important of all, it’s fearless. You need some steel ovaries to head out in front of 500 photographers dressed like this. Sarah Jessica Parker, we salute you.
But the boots are kinda wrong for it.
