Met Gala 2015 Red Carpet Rundown – Part 1

Posted on May 07, 2015

Alright people, let’s start wrapping this shit up.

Alison Brie in Prabal Gurung

Beautiful color and dress, but she looks a bit overwhelmed by it.

Amanda Seyfried in Givenchy Couture

Enh. Could’ve tried for something with a little more oomph than this.

Chloe Moretz in Coach

It’s a gala, honey. Not Junior prom.

Diane Kruger in Chanel Couture

Well, it’s not standard, we’ll give it that. We don’t mind pants at a formal gala, but again, this is kind of low-key for an event celebrating costumes.

Dianna Agron in Tory Burch

Those birds save this dress.

That may be the first and only time we compose that exact sentence.

Elizabeth Banks in Michael Kors

NO. Honey, we don’t know how you managed to find such a trashy-looking Kors dress, but this is for the Adult Video Awards, not the Met Gala.

Then again, her ass isn’t hanging out, so she’s one of the more demure of the night.

We hate side cutout so much, darling. It’ll turn even the most fabulous gown into Julia Roberts’ streetwalking outfit in Pretty Woman.

Emily Blunt in Prada

J’ADORE.

Emma Roberts in Ralph Lauren

It’s the MET GALA, not the 1978 Grammys. Come on now.

Hailee Steinfeld in Michael Kors

Simple, but pretty and on point.

Jessica Chastain in Givenchy

Bored now.

Kate Beckinsale in Diane von Furstenberg

Even more bored.

Kate Hudson in Michael Kors

She won the battle of the gold dresses. Love this one – and love the way she’s working it.

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan Atelier

Beautiful, although the color isn’t the best for her. Love the styling.

Maggie Gyllenhaal in Roland Mouret

The longer you look at this dress, the more you’re all, “Wait… what?”

Olivia Munn in J. Mendel

Fabulously dramatic.

Rachel Weisz in Chanel

Prom.

Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu

She looks great, but it seems more appropriate for the Golden Globes than the Met Gala.

Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein

We can’t stand that style of skirt, but we’re pleasantly surprised to see a Calvin Klein dress with something a little more than minimalism going on. It’s an eye-catching look.

Selena Gomez in Vera Wang
Met-Gala-2015-Red-Carpet-Fashion-Tom-Lorenzo-Site-TLO-Selena Gomez

Pretty but underwhelming.

It seems there were three setting for the attendees: 1) Prom, 2) Cultural appropriation, and 3) Naked.

Sienna Miller in Thakoon

Hate the plunging neckline, but love everything else going on here.

Sofia Vergara in Marchesa
Met-Gala-2015-Red-Carpet-Fashion-Tom-Lorenzo-Site-TLO-Sofia Vergara

Yawn.

Taraji P. Henson in Balenciaga
Met-Gala-2015-Red-Carpet-Fashion-Tom-Lorenzo-Site-TLO-Taraji P Henson

Pretty.

Vanessa Hudgens in H&M

It’s a great look and it’s on point, but we wish it was floor length.
