Sometimes we feel like we’re a little hard on Annie’s post-Oscar win style, which we have declared to be too dour and serious at times. Then she goes and wears something like this and we’re reminded why we’re so hard on her.
Anne Hathaway attends the “China: Through The Looking Glass” Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City in a Ralph Lauren gold lamé hooded cap-sleeved gown paired with Giuseppe Zanotti heels, a Benedetta Bruzziches clutch, and Repossi jewelry.
It’s because when she wants to, she can create these incredibly dramatic and glamorous fashion moments evoking the very best of Old Hollywood or new couture. This is exactly like something Carole Lombard or Greta Garbo would have worn to the Oscars in the 1930s. And Miss Annie here is working the SHIT out of it.
Welcome back to fabulous, darling. We missed you.
