Oh, Miss Taraji. Sweetie, no.

The most confusing thing about these images is how proud she looks. We feel bad now, because the International Law of Red Carpet Commentary demands that we inform her of the many reasons why she’s not supposed to be proud at the moment.

But we don’t even know where to start. From the granny panties to the huge ass zipper, it’s like a collection of every bad red carpet trend from the last … well, from several years ago, which brings us to our next point. This doesn’t exactly feel fresh. Sure, a lot of celebuladies have worn black lace dresses with visible undergarments in the last year, but the proportions here, with the high-waisted panties and the low hem paired with the booties, give it a pretty dated feel. And it seems weird to zero in on this when there’s so much going badly here, but those little t-shirt sleeves bug the hell out of us. It’s like someone tried to come up with the least sexy or interesting sleeve they could. It’s just a really badly designed dress that does nothing for her. But at least it detracts from the overdone hair and makeup.

Someone needs to perform a style intervention on this lady. We have yet to see her look half as good as she does in every episode of Empire – and that character’s supposed to be tacky and nouveau riche.
