This makes us a little sad, which is appropriate, we suppose, since it’s pretty much a strapless funeral dress.
We remember back in the height of the Seinfeld days, when she would show up at every Emmys and Golden Globes looking spectacular – and more importantly, taking some risks. Her red carpet game was on point and worth talking about. And while we’re huge proponents of adjusting your style as you age, we think she hit 50 and decided she had to become respectable. Which in her case seems to have been defined as “boring.”
Don’t get us wrong, she almost never looks bad on the red carpet, but she also never inspires a “Wow, she looks fabulous!” in anyone. It’s all very “get the job done.” Which is fine if that’s how she wants to play the red carpet game, but we wish she still had the desire to take some risks or wear something a little attention-seeking every now and then.
That hem bugs. Nice bag, though.
