Okay, kids, BIG SMILES! HAPPY! HAPPY LITTLE POLEDANCE!
Ooof. We can feel you two trying. Or maybe we’re just responding to your outfits, which are … not good.
Richard: you are not the guy who can rock a white t-shirt. Don’t fret. That puts you in good company. Roughly 95% of men, by our calculations. Ninety-nine if you limit the sample to straight guys. We don’t love, well, anything you’re wearing here, really. But if you switched out that shirt for one with a collar and buttons, this would come together as a serviceable photo op outfit.
Lily, the dress is cute but prints this wild in these kinds of colors are very hard to style effectively for pictures like this. It can go drab and busy so easily. We get why that color shoe was chosen (because there’s a tiny bit of that color in the dress), but it pulls the focus a bit. A black pump and some statement jewelry would’ve dressed this up a bit. Granted, your co-star’s dressed for bowling.
That must’ve been one long flight from Mexico City. Did they make you sit in the back, with the non-famous? Did you two have a fight? Would a long nap and some room service make you kids feel better? How about some pot, then? We’ll have the studio send some up.
Richard: No. There are even fewer men who can make a turtleneck work, a statement that guarantees many angry responses from turtlenecking-loving guys. You need shirts with buttons and collars for this thing. Love the coat and shoes, though.
Lily: We want to like this look, but we can’t get the image of vinyl tablecloths out of our heads. Also, it’s really shapeless. It’s not an awful look, but we’re pretty sure it’s a Girl, That’s Not Your Dress kind of look. The shoes are cute, though.
