We’re on record as not being particularly big fans of the white dinner jacket. It’ll never not look “waiter” or “cruise ship” to us, even though it has a much longer and more stylish history than that. Obviously, this doesn’t look bad on him, but we can’t help thinking how much better he’d look in a classic black tux. For some reason, the beard just doesn’t seem to go with the white jacket. But that’s just us. Frankly, we should just shut up with our complaining and give him an “attaboy” for the fit here, which is very good. Usually he looks like he found a suit in a bin outside a Big and Tall shop and just put it on during the car ride over. While driving.
