Viola Davis in Zac Posen at the Oscars

Posted on February 24, 2015

Miss Viola, we love you deeply in that (creepy) way that only two people who’ve never met you can love you. It’s a purer form of love, unsullied by any reality. We wish we could stay there. It was nice. But you’ve ruined everything forever with this dress.

We can’t, honey. We just can’t. This is something Barbara Bush wears to her 15th inaugural ball. You are way too young and fierce to be wearing something so stately and conservative.

Also, we love the natural hair you’re sporting here, but…

You need to set whoever did your makeup for you on fire. Immediately. That shit is terrifying. And do the same to the person who suggested that necklace (spectacular as it is) with that neckline.

Someone should really give her a makeup contract. It seems like her entire public career has been one long tutorial on the wonders of makeup when it’s applied correctly. Compare this face with the stunning one she sports on How to Get Away With Murder. When she’s not removing her makeup while crying, that is.
