Once again a ladystar hangs on our every word, just waiting for us to tell her what to do. It’s an awesome power and responsibility but when the results look like this, we feel it’s in good hands with us.
You see, just the other day, we said, upon viewing her in Tom Ford, possibly for the first time, since we can never remember her wearing it before, “You should wear Tom Ford more often.” It was just a throwaway line, and had we known she was reading us so intently we might have thrown in more instructions while we had her ear, like “Be nicer to civil servants,” and “Work on that tight smile because it makes you look judgmental.” But the moment is done, alas. All we can do now is appreciate the fact that she at least listened to us on the whole Tom Ford thing. Because this? Spectacular. It’s so simple you could almost be fooled into thinking it wasn’t dressy enough for the Oscars, but the shape and the fit are superb, the dove-gray color and the thick bands of black give it a bold but simple elegance and, most important of all, it is one hundred percent her in every way while still being chic and sexy in that Tom Ford way. Sweetie, you may just have found your go-to designer. This is a total “Be Me” (on a scale of Be Me or Do Me) of a dress. Thanks for buying our book and heeding our astonishingly on point advice, Reese! Presumably!
We’re trying not to yell at everyone for their less-than-impressive hair (this is pure southern country club) because of the rain and humidity last night.
