Don’t you worry your pretty little heads, kittens. We still have plenty of (lesser) Oscars main event red carpetry to get to, but we figured we’d start tucking in on the after-parties. And we’ve kept our mouths shut on this dress for too long. Opinions must be expressed or we’ll start breaking out in hives.
In short, we LOVE this:
Rashida Jones attends the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar viewing party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California in an Andrew Gn gown paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
This gown couldn’t be more perfect for her. In her less formal style, she favors prints (of a faux-vintage semi-ironic hipster vibe, like craft store prints) exactly like this one. To see a print like this turned into a gown almost makes us think she was the inspiration for it, so much does this look like her style. The colors look gorgeous on her and it truly stands out from the rest of the night in an almost quiet sort of way. It seeks attention by subtly clearing its throat instead of yelling LOOK AT ME, if that makes any sense.
Love the little ruffly shoulder treatment/cap sleeve thingies. Our one quibble is that, proportionally speaking, the neckline plunges perhaps a bit too much. But we’re glad this version doesn’t have that weird daisy chain thing going on in the runway version.
Those earrings are stunning. We’re not sure they entirely go with the dress, but they still look amazing on her.
