Posted on February 24, 2015

This is fantastic, but we’re still going to be bitches about it. It’s in our nature, darlings.

Chic, stylish, flattering, and oh-so-perfectly her. It feels professional in tone and kickass in attitude. Love the earrings and buckle. They really set the look off and raise it up. But we’re sad to see that half-assed tuxedo jacket move.

Look, the Oscars is the one time where it should be inarguable that people show up demonstrating a level of style polish that perhaps they don’t maintain the rest of the time. You can’t just throw something together for the Oscars. An outfit needs to be planned, curated, and paired to perfection. That jacket clearly wasn’t designed to go with that skirt. It’s a different black rendered in a different fabric. She quite literally looks like she turned to some guy and asked if she could borrow his jacket because she’s chilly. Sweetie, you’re Meryl Fucking Streep. If you want a tuxedo jacket to go with your Lanvin dress then you tell Lanvin to MAKE SURE IT MATCHES.

Also, the way the bodice is tucked into the belt bugs.

But we love you, sweetie! Don’t hate us!
