This is a look? Again?

We’re doing this AGAIN?

Child, this is where we get off the bus. We’ve been on it long enough to see flares come in and go out of style about a half-dozen times and we’re not sure we can go through it again.

We could swear we’ve seen her wear this exact jumpsuit – when she was dating Brad Pitt.

Look, there’s nothing inherently wrong with a flared pant. It’s a style that can be very flattering for a range of body types. Our problem with the bell bottom as trend is that, first, a bunch of people for whom the flare does nothing tries to make it work (see above) and second, there quickly develops a sort of bell bottom cold war of escalation until eventually, we’re all walking around looking like Bootsy Collins or Frida and/or Agnetha.

We can’t. We just can’t. Please don’t force us to love you again, bell bottoms. Granted, if more people dressed like Jen here, there’s no danger of that ever happening.
