“HALLELU,” we said giddily. “FASHION. FINALLY.”
While we’ve loved much that walked the runway this season in New York, we were, as we’ve said before, a bit underwhelmed by how conservative things are in womenswear right now. We’ll never not love beautiful gowns and dresses parading past us, but we found ourselves yearning for some real drama and explosive creativity. Now, if you want the strictly literal interpretation, here’s what the show notes had to say:
“The DELPOZO Fall Winter 2015 collection blends the colorful palette of Australian artist Rhys Lee with Russian painter Andrey Remnev’s modern interpretation of the Pre-Raphaelite spirit.”
Here’s what we had to say: What a joy it is to see an embrace of color, creativity, whimsy and unique beauty on the runway right now. This is the kind of collection that inspires other fashion designers.
