Like all Costello Tagliapietra collections we’ve ever seen, this one sneaks up on you. Watching plaids (of woven yarn forming grids) and wools and ruffles in a succession of gorgeous color pairings walk by, we couldn’t help but let out a couple of “Oh”s. So deep and evocative you could almost smell the forest it was inspired by. With lumberjack plaids and suspenders paired with ruffled tuxedo blouses and coats with enormous lapels, there’s more than a touch of the masculine to it, but with a dreamy, watercolored undertone to it . Or more accurately, it’s romantic androgyny. It’s Tilda’s winter wardrobe and someone needs to box it all up and ship it to her.
