2015 NAACP Image Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Let’s DO this thing, ladies!

Kerry Washington in Zuhair Murad

We’ll stipulate that the lighting seems really weird and harsh in this shot, but we’re not loving this shade of red for her and her makeup looks off. Also: it’s a nightgown.

Gabrielle Union in Gauri & Nainika

We could do without the cutouts, but this is a gorgeous look.

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

Just okay. Girl, you need to break up with that man.

Garcelle Beauvais in Milly

We feel like we’re supposed to like this, but the print doesn’t really appeal to us and the belt looks too thick and focus-pulling. Beautiful colors, but a somewhat harsh look overall; like an old black light poster or something.

Angela Bassett in Xcite Xtreme

Miss Lady, you are so close to serving up some Nefertiti realness here, but you could’ve use a bit of support or a slightly more modest neckline.

Tracee Ellis Ross in Michael Costello

The dress is kinda standard, the neckline is too wide and the makeup is insanely harsh.

Laverne Cox in Gustavo Cadile

While we applaud the attempt to get her Michelle Obama on, neither the hair nor the shape of that skirt are her friends right now.

Uzo Aduba in Zac Posen

Just a skosh on the tight side, but beautiful nonetheless.
