2015 Grammy Awards Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on February 09, 2015

Alright, you little attention hogs, it’s been a long-ass day here at T Lo International Opinion Forming LLC, and we’re tired and cranky and don’t have the energy to give you all the style assessments you probably don’t even deserve. Line up so we can yell at you.

Katy Perry in Zuhair Murad Spring 2015 Couture Collection

Strippers on Ice.

Charli XCX in Moschino Spring 2015
3-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Charli XCX

A really cute idea, but the fur wrap was totally unnecessary.

Annie Lennox

 Serving it, classic-style. Back off.

Zendaya Coleman in Vivienne Westwood in Resort 2015

The hair is cute but the dress, and especially those Payless on her feet, look cheap as hell.

Iggy Azalea in Giorgio Armani
6-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Iggy Azalea

What the fuck is with that Frankenstein head?

Gwen Stefani in Atelier Versace Spring 2015

We don’t know. She clearly loved it, but it was “Papa Don’t Preach” crossed with ’30s chorus girl. Which sounds like it could be fun, but we thought the result was corny.

Nick Jonas in Versace

 Total Pee-Wee.

Toni Braxton in Marc Bouwer Fall 2015
9-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Toni Braxton

The cleavage sword is probably a bit much.

Katharine McPhee in Emilio Pucci
10-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Katharine McPhee

Total prison hair.

Beyonce in Proenza Schouler
11-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Beyonce

Again with the unflattering wide and plunging neckline. The night was full of them. Otherwise, this was alright. Pure Bey.

Jane Fonda in Balmain Pre-Fall 2015
12-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Jane Fonda

Carol Brady turns to porn.

Hate us if you must, but we don’t care what anyone else says, this is tacky and cringe-inducing for someone approaching their 80th birthday. Hell, that much crotch would be tacky and cringe-inducing on anyone.

Jennifer Hudson in Tom Ford

We’d rag on her for choosing something too simple and underwhelming, but we’re just happy it’s not crazy or tacky.

Ed Sheeran
15-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Ed Sheeran

This all looks to be in order. Back to the Shire with you.

Mary J. Blige in J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2014
16-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Mary J. Blige

 Divatastic.

Rita Ora in Prada
17-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Rita Ora

This is gorgeous. She’s really come into her own on the style front.

Kat Graham in Yanina Spring 2015
18-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Kat Graham

 Enh. Fancy shower curtain.

Miley Cyrus in Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2015 Couture
19-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Miley Cyrus

Not even trying. We can smell the pot from here.

Chrissy Teigen (Emilio Pucci Resort 2015) and John Legend

If he’d stand up straight, that tux would look great on him, even if the hems are a skosh long. We’d swear we’ve seen her in that exact dress dozens of times.

Ashanti in Michael Costello
21-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Ashanti

She wins the prize for the tackiest, ugliest neckline of the night.

Lady Gaga in Brandon Maxwell
22-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Lady Gaga

 Basic as hell.

Meghan Trainor in Galia Lahav
23-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Meghan Trainor

Hated this. It’s Frederick’s of Hollywood lingerie over a mini-dress. It looks like a Halloween costume and it was bunching up and causing unfortunate shadows to appear where she likely didn’t want them.

Ciara in Alexandre Vauthier Spring 2014 Couture
24-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Ciara

It’s a little silly, but on a night where toilet paper cozy dresses were considered de rigeur, we can get behind the high fashion feel of it. Those black pumps are a huge disappointment, though.

Nicole Kidman in Mugler Pre-Fall 2015
25-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Nicole Kidman

Maybe it’s for the best that she really embrace the severity of her looks now. This is the best she’s looked in some time.

Kim Kardashian in Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2015 Couture
26-2015-Grammy-Awards-Red-Carpet-Rundown-Kim Kardashian

This is like something from some short-lived ’80s nighttime soap about an aging Hollywood madam and her bevy of Ladies of the Night. In fact, it would be called Ladies of the Night and the intro would feature neon letters, palm trees and a sax solo.

Because of the flimsy material and heavy embellishments, this is pretty much the only pose she was capable of all night long. She was wheeled around on a dolly all night by Kanye.
