Oh, girl. This was not the way to go post-Oscars snub.

While it’s easy for us to assume that Jen doesn’t have the most advanced style instincts in the world, we find it virtually impossible to believe that she would have worn this out on the day she was nominated for an Oscar. This has GOT to be the back-up outfit. The in-case-I-don’t-get-nominated one. We just can’t believe that she’d pick this as her “triumphant” look.

Taking the suppositions and wild theorizing further, we propose that this was chosen to be her “Who needs an Oscar? I’m confident and hot!” look. But Jen, too-tight pants and underboob are not, shall we say, the best way to project your airy confidence.

We actually love a ladysuit on the red carpet, sans shirt. It’s a near-classic, sexy and yes, confident kind of look. But we hate the shapes here; too blocky in the jacket and too tight across the thighs in the pants. Plus the pants are too long and she freaking matched her shoes to the suit, which is something a figure skater does. That jacket needs to be fitted much better and the neckline needs to be closed up considerably. And we can’t believe we’re going to say this about perpetually colorless Jen Aniston, but we don’t think this color is doing much for her. If your style archetype is Tanned California Blonde, then you should probably stay away from orangey reds because they make you look a little overbaked. Had this been in a cherry red – and fitted much, much better, and worn with sandals – it could have been killer. But she just looks orangey and half-assed to us.
