Angela Bassett on “Good Morning America”

We’re loving Madam Director’s poledancing style. None of the dour take-me-seriously getups of Angelina for Miss Lady here.

And it’s funny, because this kind of look is inducing the kind of reaction Angelina wants to get across so badly in us, because we’re thinking “Wow, she seems totally confident and relaxed about this project.” As opposed to “Wow, she really wants us to take her seriously.”

Not that we’re saying there’s a right or wrong way to do this sort of thing. We are, after all, talking about two very different women promoting two very different kinds of movies. We’re just saying there’s all kinds of ways to project confidence and this way really works for Angela. She looks full of life.

Granted, the bag is terrible, but that looks more like a work-a-day bag than part of the ensemble.
