Jennifer Aniston Discovers That Pants Exist

The results, perhaps unsurprisingly, are mixed. But hey, the lady’s really busting out of her shell. One of these days, she might suddenly realize the color red exists – and then ALL bets will be off.

Mmmmmm, no. That grandma blouse is a dicey thing under any circumstances, but it’s possible it could be hipped up and youthened down (new, important, soon-to-be-widely-used fashion terms! Make a note!) with a funky, interesting lower half and some edgier styling. Unfortunately, she paired it with her favorite flared hip-huggers from 1998, which do absolutely nothing to help the look. This is the equivalent of a middle-aged guy wearing dress shoes with a pair of pop-pop jeans. It just isn’t coming together.

But lest you worry that Jen is destined to return to her shapeless bathtowel dresses, consider the following:

NAILED IT.

This is one of the cutest looks we’ve seen on her since she was Rachel Green. In fact, it kinda looks like what we’d expect Rachel to look like in 2014. It’s got a nice little downtown vibe that we almost never see from her. We can’t see the boots well enough to judge, but we suspect we’d be disappointed, simply because they should be the kind of boots you can see. Other than that, we got nothing. She looks adorable and stylish. A perfect rendering of the “I’m a serious actress. No, really.” look.
