See, now you would think, given that she’s the star of a hit show called “Nashville” where she plays a glamorous country music star, that this would be the one event where she’d get her pick of the very highest of high fashion for the night. And sure, Naeem Khan is nothing to sneeze at, but why pick this dress?  We’re not so rigid as to think the CMAS require a gown, but we can’t help thinking this is the one place where she can and should strut a little bit.

It doesn’t help that we just don’t love this dress. It’s way overworked with too much going on. And we hate the sheer hem and the length of the sleeves. Plus she’s got that big head of honky-tonk hair, which is perfect for her and for the venue, but not at all right for this dress. We don’t even think the model on the runway looks right with her hair down. The only part we really agree with is the color scheme of green and gold, which looks amazing on her.

And is it us or does her eye makeup make her face look badly photoshopped?
