Vanity Fair and Burberry Celebrate BAFTA LA and the Britannia Awards

Posted on October 30, 2014

Pretty Brits, all in a row.

If we were costume designers on a movie and the script had a scene of attractive and popular British actors at a party, this is all pretty much exactly how we’d have it look. The ladies are all fresh-faced and Prim Chic, while the men are all strapping wild-hairs in tailored suits.

In other words, we’d swear all these shots were art directed like crazy.

Just look at these pretty people.

Um. Is it awful if we say they look better in period costume?

She’s not pregnant, right? We googled like crazy and nothing came up, so we’re just gonna say this dress isn’t doing her any favors on that front. Great color, though. And she’s got the face for such a clean look.

The suit’s a big nothing, but that is one fine-looking man to fill it.

Perfectly pretty, if underwhelming.

That skirt is horrible. And she’s awash in beige, for some reason. She’s someone who can wear practically any color, so it’s awful to see her in this non-color, head to toe.

We wonder if she’s not in L.A. taking meetings post-Doctor Who.

He’s still leaning like he’s on a boat, but that is a fabulous look for him. Love the colors.

Perfection. The trench and the windswept hair take it somewhere cinematic.
