We smell Oscars all around.

If we were writing a bad rom com about two English movie stars falling in love, we’d have a scene with them looking glamorous in the rain, just like this. Probably right after the scene with the tea and right before the scene with the tasteful, respectful sex. In a seaside cottage. Or maybe a train in India in the 1920s. You get the point.

And if you don’t get the point, it’s this: they look so ridiculously glamorous and gorgeous (and yes, like the American stereotype of the European movie star) that there’s not much else to say about their outfits except, “Well done, darlings.” True, her shoes don’t really go with the look and he’s never been quite capable of looking impeccable. There’s always a tie askew or something. But come on, they look pretty amazing here.
