Why Miss Uma, look at you, giving us some highly discussable fashion. While we credit you with being the type to take some chances, you do tend to have a rather spotty record, dear.
Let’s get to it. There’s a couple of pricks, but after that it shouldn’t hurt too much.
Uma Thurman attends the Vanity Fair Chopard Party during during the 2014 Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy in a Jenny Packham burgundy chiffon pleated dress from the Spring 2014 collection accessorized with Chopar jewelry and Jimmy Choo sandals.
Okay, the shoes are a bit of a needle scratch, because they make it look like she’s about to launch into a dance number, but the outfit’s a head-turner. The color looks great on her and we love the pleats. But the top isn’t such a great shape for her and we really hate that it’s sheer and you can see the bra. It cuts her up: bra, stomach, waistband. It ruins the floaty effect.
An admirable attempt, but mostly a failure. NEXT:
Everything below the neck? Sublime. It’s retro but with a modern edge. Our only complaint is that the bodice looks a little tight on her.
Everything above the neck? Frightening. It’s crazy with a manic edge. What’s with the bird’s nest hair and the makeup that aged her 10 years overnight? Seriously, compare her face with the one in the first outfit. Did she apply her blush with a butter knife?
Another admirable attempt, ruined by some seriously bad head choices.
